Altafluor Fluorescein Sodium with Benoxinate
An ophthalmic disclosing agent in combination with a topical anesthetic.
Altafluor Benox (fluorescein sodium and benoxinate hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) 0.25%/0.4% is a yellow to orange-red solution containing fluorescein sodium 2.5 mg/mL (0.25%) and benoxinate hydrochloride 4 mg/mL (0.4%) and is used as a sterile disclosing agent in combination with a short-acting ester anesthetic for topical ophthalmic use. Sterile dropper included.
- Altafluor Benox is a fluorescein dye combined with Benoxinate HCl as an anesthetic and is used topically to stain the eye for diagnostic procedures. Instill 1 to 2 drops as needed.
- Long term storage of Altafluor Benox is refrigerated at 36° to 46°. Once opened, the bottle can be stored at room temperature for up to one month or refrigerated until the expiration date.
